FINDING DUPLICATES • STAGE E
Copy correct metadata to the matched Source file
Stage E uses the exact duplicate pair already identified in Stage D. The Data Inject copy with correct information becomes the donor for the matching Source file with missing or incorrect information.
Take the correct information
The Data Inject copy supplies the corresponding metadata when it contains the correct date, GPS or other applicable information.
Update only the matched Source file
The corresponding Source file receives the applicable data where its information is missing or incorrect. Unmatched files are left alone.
